Sherry had only been in Guild Lodge for a matter of weeks when her friend Dougie Died. Sherry of course did not know of his death as she was denied all outside contact, even I her mother was not allowed to talk to her or visit. This isolation had been in place for weeks and was supposed to improve Sherry's state of mind. In one call to the staff when I had been asking about Sherry I mentioned Dougies death and asked that they would allow me to visit and give Sherry the news myself. They refused. I then asked if they would find the best time to tell Sherry the news and inform her in a tactful manor, they aggreed.

Now I am unhappy, staff informed Sherry the next day that Dougie was dead in an untactful manor and not only that they refused to allow her to attend his funeral even knowing as they did how much Dougie meant to her. I was refused visiting again and was unable to go to comfort my Daughter.

I would have to wait a further eight weeks before I was allowed to visit my daughter.
