After Sherry's course of ECT treatment her mental state seemed to be pretty much unchanged or at least Sherry's friends and I could not see any improvement. There did seem to be one change though. Sherry seemed to be expressing herself more and more in a violent fashion, she would attack other patients and also attack hospital staff for little or no reason at all. These incidents became more and more frequent as time went on. These violent episodes culminated in an attack on another patient with Sherry using a heavy fire extinguisher as a weapon.

Due to the nature and seriousness of this attack it was decided by Sherry's doctors that it would be in the best interests of other patients and staff to have Sherry transferred to a medium secure hospital.

To this end Sherry was transferred to Kemple View medium secure unit and from there she was transferred to Guild lodge.
